Hi folks,

The bag was picked up by mistake and put in someone’s car and found later on.

All is well.

Lost bag

Hi folks,

To all of those whom attended class this morning, we are missing a blue tote bag made of vinyl. It went missing sometime between 1030 and 1145. It was in the middle row of the class in about the center of the room.

Did anyone pick it up accidentally? The bag would have music, a music stand and some other personal items.
Or if you saw any student come in and leave with a bag, I’d like to know that as well.

Thanks.

Holiday fun day for Base families

Hi folks,

As I mentioned yesterday, we’ve been asked to provide light background and festive music for the families of CFB Kingston at a festive fun day on Dec. 3rd.

Time is 1030 to noon.

Location is the big gym just past the causeway bridge on the left as you leave town.

It will be a relaxed setting and over 1000 people will be filing through the activities and having lunch.

I’ll take a more serious head count to see if we can put together a balanced band.

Thanks

Chris

Dear Friends,

Kingston Community Strings have been rehearsing for the first concert of our three-concert season (others in February and May) on Friday, November 4th at 7:30 pm at Christ Church (Anglican) Parish Centre, 990 Sydenham Road.

We are honoured to have Donelda Gartshore as the flute soloist in John Rutter’s Suite Antique for string orchestra, harpsichord (Fran Harkness) and flute. Like so much of Rutter’s choral and orchestral music, this suite is very appealing to the listener — “cotton candy” for the ear. Other music on the programme includes selections by Clare Grundman, Tomaso Albinoni and Robert S. Frost whose Niltshi: The Voice of the Wind is an attractive soundscape of the wind in its various guises.

We hope you can join us for an hour of musical delights. The freewill offering is in support of our hosts at Christ Church Cataraqui.
