Join us for HHSB2 on Friday!

Katie, I and my brother Nick visiting from Vancouver will be going to our sponsored restaurant, Darbar Indian Restaurant on Princess at University for dinner after the concert.

Please join us by calling Darbar directly with the number in your party. We found that smaller groups work better for service.

Subject: Join us for HHSB2 on Friday!

Hi All!

Unwind after your week by joining us: Michel Szczesniak (piano), Chris Alfano (clarinet) and Katie Legere (bassoon), for an entertaining concert of music by Glick, Glinka and Steinmetz.

The concert features the beautiful and haunting Suite Hébraïque, an entertaining musical quiz followed by the last 2 movements of his Bassoon Sonata by John Steinmetz and the fiery finale from Glinka’s (not at all pathetic) Trio Pathetique in D minor.

The concert is at 5:00 pm at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 263 Victoria Street (corner of Victoria and Earl) with admission $15 at the door.

Hope to see you there!

Thank you

Hi folks,

Just wanted to say thank you for the amazing turnout and performance today.

As I said, a whole bus load of Board staff people including the new Director were in attendance.

They were all knocked out by the ceremony, behaviour of the kids and the support of you as members of the school and community.

Many of you also encouraged your friends and family to attend the ceremony which I think is so important to the kids to realize their connection to the larger world.

Many LaSalle students passed me in the hall and commented on how great the music was.

Next year, we’ll put the words to Imagine up on the screen and have everyone sing with us.

And also a special thanks and job well done to Nancy Mabee for a lovely rendition of Last Post and Rouse.

Again, thank you to all.

Hi folks,

The school has a little longer program this year by about 10 minutes, so in order for us to be in position and play a few tunes we need to be seated by 10am or so.

Please arrive at the school at NLT 930am rather than 10am as previously suggested by me.

This way we will have time to take stands down and get properly set up without being too rushed.

Dress is all black and a poppy please.

Selections are

Sea Songs

O Canada

Thank you for your support.

All are welcome to attend and perform.
