Lottery info from Brad

Hi Folks,

It is time to have another go at the Loto Maxx. I’ll be accepting $5 from anyone who wishes to participate in the upcoming draw, May 2. The jackpot is $ 50 million +. I’d like to share some of it with our group. As I’m an investor rather than a banker please have correct change. Good luck to us!!!

Pat has been home with a bad knee, so the intermediate band class called her on the phone and played Pachelbel’s Canon for her.

Here’s her note.

Chris and my fellow band members,

I was totally taken by surprise and overwhelmed by your "house call" yesterday. What a gift! It was one of the most heart-warming and thoughtful gestures and did wonders for my morale. The Pachelbel was sprightly and cheerful – just the right medicine.

I miss you all and the joy of making music together, and look forward to being back soon. Meanwhile, thanks for a very special tribute.

Happy Easter!

Pat

From: Bob Silverman

Hi Folks

I did not expect or plan for last Wed. to be my last day with the band but that seems to be the way things worked out.

I want you to know how much I have enjoyed playing with you all and getting to know you. In my early days I was told that this was the most “social” band in town and that is very true. Many of us have become friends and as a bonus I managed to learn a bunch about ensemble playing, music theory and history. It does not get much better than that. We are very fortunate and privileged in Kingston to have the opportunity that the band provides.

A special thanks to Chris for making it happen and keeping it all together. Without him none of it would have been possible – and certainly would not have been as much fun.

Wishing you all good things and happy music making,

Bob
