Hi everyone,

> Just a quick note to let you know that on CKWS today, Friday the 21st, Taylor Donaldson and John Palmer, our director, will be doing an interview on "Live at Five," broadcast sometime between 5 and 6pm. Hi folks,

We’re trying to plan an extra concert in our Happy Hour Sound Bytes Series this year.

The date would be Friday April 4th at 5pm at St. Mark’s Church.

The music will be the compositions of Juno Award winning pianist David Braid with David on Piano performing his solo works and will also feature some arrangements of his music for Chris and David together.

For Series Subscription holders, we would like to offer this concert at 15 dollars each.

For non subscription holders, the admission fee would be 20 dollars.

We would like to gauge what the attendance for this concert might be to see if it is at all feasible.

If you are interested, would you send Chris an email with “David Braid Concert” in the subject heading with how many tickets you would like either at 15 or 20 dollars so we can see if this will work for bringing David from Toronto.

Thanks

Chris

Good morning folks,

Due to the bad weather, all adult classes are cancelled for today (Tuesday Feb. 18th)

If you have to go out, please be very careful due to the poor conditions.

Thanks. Classes resume tomorrow as scheduled unless there is more bad weather.

Happy Hour Sound Bytes presents Triola (Gisele Dalbec violin, Melinda Raymond, violin and Eileen Beaudette, viola) tugging on your ‘heart strings’, Friday, Feb 14 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, corner of Earl and Victoria Street. $10 at the door or free for Queen’s students and subscribers.

Sadly, for us, after their concert, Triola has another engagement so they cannot join us for dinner.

However, Katie and I would like to invite you to join us for a Valentine’s Day dinner at Darbar.

If you would like to join us, please send me a note at alfano

Thanks

Chris

Also, we have been asked to perform at St. Martha’s school on Monday March 3rd.

Would you check your calendars and see if most of the senior band is available to perform?

I would like to confirm this soon.

Chris

Message from Joy Obadia

Hello, Chris,

In my confusion, I don’t know if I informed you why I haven’t been at band. I fractured my hip on the icy sidewalk on December 28 and am slowly recovering.

I am very afraid of the ice now and don’t go out much. I was told that there is snow and ice at Lasalle. For this reason, it may be early spring before I am back. Thinking of all you folks!!! Take care!!! Joy
