Hi folks,

The busses to all schools are cancelled today due to weather.

The roads are not good in town and so for the safety of all,

I have cancelled our concert at St. Martha’s today.

We will reschedule it in the next few weeks.

Thanks

Hi folks,

Don’t forget the Happy Hours Soundbytes series concert this Friday at 5pm at St. Marks’s Church at Victoria and Earl St.

It’s the music of Mendelssohn for Clarinet, Bassoon and Piano with wonderful Michel Szczesniak.

After the concert we will go to Darbar Indian Restaurant for dinner.

If you’d like me to make a reservation for you, send me an email with Darbar in the subject to alfano nlt than Wednesday.

Thanks

Upcoming exam schedule

Hi folks,

We are approaching exam time and as usual, the music room is not available to us.

Here is the schedule.

There will be no classes from this Wednesday Jan 22nd until Friday Jan 31st inclusive.

Our first full week of classes will be on Monday Feb 3rd.

However, the senior band will be playing a concert at St. Martha’s school at 11am on Monday Jan 27th.

Also, there may be a change in the class time for intermediates on Thursdays.

If there are high school students taking music with us in Period 3, then I will move our class from 830 to 1030, to a new time of 930 to 1130am.

I will let you know when I see the student timetables.

Thanks

Chris

Hi folks,

My clarinet student, Clara Troje will be performing Brahms Sonata No. 2 in E Flat Major this coming Sunday at 4pm.

Clara is preparing her Grade 8 Royal Conservatory exam as well as auditioning for performance programs at University of Toronto and McGill for acceptance this Fall.

She is sharing the stage with a classical vocalist and violinist performing other works.

Admission is by donation to St. Mark’s church.

Hope to see you there to support our hard working students.

Chris
