Concert tonight

Hi folks,

Just a reminder of our last concert of the Happy Hour’s Sound Bytes Series is tonight at St. Andrew’s Church at 530pm.

At the end, we will have the draw for the free Music Service, so have your tickets in hand. If the winning number is not present, I will put it on the blog afterwards and give lots of time for the winner to contact us.

And, after the concert, Katie and I will host an Appreciation Cocktail Party at our house at 476 Victoria St. for all subscription holders. There will be some light hors d’oeuvres. If you would like to bring something, that’s fine too.

This will commence at 7pm.

Also, here is the address of the memorial for Barb Cass just in case you missed it.

the Christ Church Cataraqui Parish Hall, 990 Sydenham Road, Kingston, on Saturday April 6 at 3:00pm.

Thanks

Chris

Important info

Hi folks,

The performance of the band and Barb Cass’s memorial is indeed a 3pm downbeat for us and not 130pm as I said today.

There is a small service for family members happening at 130pm which will last about one hour. Then we will be able to get into the space and set up.

So, again, our downbeat is 3pm.

Thanks

Chris

Benny Goodman Tribute Band

Hi folks,

I know it’s a long way off but I thought you’d like to plan your summer early.

I’ve been asked to put together a special band for two cruises on the Island Star.

The date is Thursday July 4th. There will be a lunch and supper cruise that day.

I will be fronting a Benny Goodman Tribute Band.

Me on Clarinet

Rich Bannard, drums

Sylvain Gagnon, string bass

And Greg Runions vibes.

We’ll play all the great Goodman tunes like Avalon, Memories of You, Moonglow and maybe even Sing Sing Sing!!!

Call the Thousand Islands Cruise lines and book your tickets early. It’ll be a great time and great music.

Chris
