Message from Erin

Hi folks,

Here’s a message from Erin.

Hello

Please pass along my deepest gratitude to your class for the lovely song. You could not have chosen a better song. It is my favourite musical and I love the message of that song.

I guess I am heading over the rainbow!

Thanks for a great 5 years Chris.

Subject: Two LaSalle Causeway Swing Band Gigs, Saturday June 23, and Sunday, June 24. (*)

Chris,

I would be grateful if you could be so kind as to put on your blog the following information about two LaSalle Causeway Swing Band gigs taking place this week end..

The LaSalle Causeway Swing Band will perform two gigs on Saturday, June 23, and Sunday, June 24 in Kingston.

1- On Saturday, June 23, from 12:00 noon until 1:00 pm, we will play at an “open house” in celebration of the 20th anniversary of “Almost Home”. ” Almost Home” is a home-away-from-home for families of children receiving medical treatment in Kingston. Families have stayed at “Almost Home” for as little as a few hours, to as long as a year (or more). Families generally come from south and north-eastern Ontario, but some have come from as far away as Spain, France, and even East Timor.

The address of “Almost Home” is: 118 William Street between Bagot and Sydenham . There is parking on William Street or on streets near William etc..

The gig at “Almost Home” will take place rain or shine

2-On Sunday, June 24, the Causeway will perform from 11:00 am to 12 noon at the Kingston Farmers’ Market, which operates in the south west corner of the Memorial Centre Grounds in front of the agriculture barns: see maps http://goo.gl/maps/26Vx). There will be ample on-site parking. Enter from York Street, at Albert Street.

For additional information, please let me know at: “dlysne” and I will get you in touch with the respective contacts/organizers.

Sincerely yours,

David Lysne

Start time tonight

Hi folks,

I left instructions on Tonight’s gig at Lundy’s Lane at the bottom of the email from Robyn,

Maybe some of you didn’t read to the bottom of her email so here it is.

From Chris.

Directions to Lundy’s Lane PS are as follows.

Hwy 2 to Niagara Park Drive. That’s where the McDonald’s is. Turn Right at this light. Follow the road straight until the stop sign that is down about 400 metres. Turn left.

Make note that as you drive down Niagara Park you can see the school up on the hill on the left.

The gig is rain or shine because we’ll be moved indoors if it looks like rain.

Thanks

See you tonight Tuesday for a 730 downbeat.

Chris

From Robyn

Chris,

Please extend, to your members that performed today, how grateful that I am to have had them join us. It was really nice as a conductor to have such a big, full sound. They were also very patient and flexible with the days events which made things easier for me. Thank you again, to the whole group! Look forward to a play date at LaSalle next year.

Thanks again,

Robyn

P.S. If anyone has pictures from today if they could email them so we can put them up on the school blog I’d greatly appreciate it.
